GeoCited is a Chennai-based GEO agency that gets IT services firms, MSPs and software development companies recommended in ChatGPT, Perplexity, Gemini and Claude. We start from the prompts real buyers type, find which sources the AI engines cite for those prompts, then fix the entity, schema and citation gaps that keep a firm out of the answer. Every prompt is re-run on each engine and reported as a share of answers, with the raw answers included.

GeoCited (our own audit)

18 ChatGPT runs on 'GEO agency in Chennai': named first in 4, invisible in 11

An audit of our own AI visibility. Across 18 ChatGPT runs on 29 and 30 August 2026 (temporary chat, web search on, no history), GeoCited was named in 4. All four came from one phrasing of the question, where we placed first in 4 of 7 runs. Across seven other phrasings of the same buying question we did not appear at all. We published the 11 lost runs at the same size as the 4 wins.

Challenge

ChatGPT named us the top GEO agency in Chennai once. A single screenshot says nothing about how often that happens, so we measured it properly before making any claim.

Approach

• Wrote 8 phrasings of the same buying question and ran them 18 times • Used temporary chat with web search on and no history, one run at a time • Recorded every answer and cited source, and found that word order alone decided the result

Reported results

  • Named in 4 of 18 runs, first in all 4

Zakro

Factory SaaS AI visibility baseline: cited on brand queries, invisible on category queries

Day-0 AI visibility baseline for Zakro, a cloud factory-operations platform for Indian manufacturers (GST billing, inventory, work orders, collections). We ran 10 real buyer prompts on Perplexity in fresh threads. Zakro was cited on 2 of 10, and both were brand-name queries. It was invisible on all 8 prompts where a buyer describes the problem instead of naming the product, while smaller vertical tools were cited because a source about them existed where the engines look.

Challenge

Buyers ask AI engines about their problem (GST and stock out of sync, hours lost to manual invoicing) before they have heard of Zakro. Zakro needed to know whether it shows up for those questions, not just for its own name.

Approach

• Built 10 buyer prompts: 8 problem-shaped, 2 brand and comparison • Ran each on Perplexity in a fresh thread and recorded every cited source • Mapped the citation gap: proof already on the homepage was never published where engines retrieve it

Reported results

  • Baseline: cited on 2 of 10 buyer prompts

GeoCited (our own site)

New domain with 7 backlinks reached Google's AI Overview in under 48 hours

We tested our GEO method on our own site first. On 29 August 2026 we published one original research article (490 AI-cited URLs across 40 B2B SaaS buying prompts) on a domain with 7 referring domains and zero indexed blog articles. Google crawled it about 90 minutes after the indexing request, ranked it first for its target query within a day, and pulled it into the Google AI Overview source pool the same day. One page, one long-tail query, no control: every limit is written up on the case study page.

Challenge

A brand-new domain with 7 referring domains, where Google had indexed the blog index page but not one of the 16 articles beneath it. Could original research get into AI answers without backlinks or domain authority?

Approach

• Published original data no other page had: 490 cited URLs classified by format and intent • Opened with one direct-answer sentence written to be lifted by an answer engine • Made the title and slug the exact query, and published the method, raw data and limitations

Reported results

  • #1 on Google for the target query within 24 hours

Make the first conversation count

Ask each agency the same questions so you can compare the answers.

  1. Comparable work. Can you show a project with our business model, budget, and goal? What was the baseline, timeframe, and measurement source?
  2. Total commitment. What do fees include? Confirm currency, setup costs, media spend, minimum term, and cancellation terms.
  3. Delivery team. Who will do the work, how much senior time is included, and what will you need from our team?
  4. Success and ownership. What happens in the first 90 days? Agree on reporting, success measures, account access, and ownership of creative and data.
